A fresh environment for learning
This beautiful “green lung” is a relaxing environment where children can enjoy discovery and learning in a clean, fresh environment. The Queen Sirikit Park was established to commemorate the 60th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit.

The park has three main features starting with the special pool containing decorative water plants and three fountains. The pool is in the shape of the letter “S” which is similar to the Thai letter “So Suea” which is the first letters of her name written in both Thai and English.

Another big pool is the Lotus Garden, which contains local and foreign species of lotus. The third section is the 12-acre Botantical Gardens established for the conservation of plants.

In recognition of Her Majesty’s devotion to the betterment of Thai children, the Children’s Discovery Museum has taken shape in the park. This museum helps to instill the desire to discover and learn in the minds of impressionable children.

There are eight sections in all, starting with exhibitions on Her Majesty’s royal activities to conserve nature. This is followed by the nature and environment section,  dealing with a variety of subjects.

The sciences are covered in the next section. Then there are presentations on our life including a magical X-ray and a magical brain. Culture and society are the next learning experiences followed by technology.
Of course, as this is a place for children, there are also amenity and activity sections where children of all ages can play while they are learning.
