Lifelike reproductions of Thai historical figures
The Thai Human Imagery Museum is the realization of the dreams of Duangkaew Phityakornsilp, a master artist in the creation of fibreglass sculptures.

The museum was established in 1982 as a display center to preserve and promote Thai arts and culture for the benefit of Thai youth. On June 14, 1989 His Holiness The Supreme Patriarch presided over the religious ceremony inaugurating the museum.

Over time, the artists have perfected their technique for creating super realistic wax like sculptures out of fiberglass. This is in contrast to the many well-known wax museums.

The Thai Human Imagery Museum occupies a two-storey building with the first floor having a permanent exhibition hall and six exhibition rooms. The exhibition hall displays the life-like sculptures of the first 8 Kings of the Chakri Dynasty.  Four of the six exhibition rooms are used for the exhibition of the life-like images of Thailand’s greatest Buddhist monks. The other two rooms have displays of “A Moment in Life”.

The second floor is devoted to exhibitions of various sculptures that are changed to a exhibition timetable.

These models are so life-like that if you let your imagination run free you can almost hear their heart beats.
