The Southern Region is a small peninsula with significant Buddhist monuments and Royal buildings as well as an old market town.

Canals weave their way through the Central Region where the monuments depict the eras of Ayutthaya, Thonburi and Rattanakosin. One of the most outstanding buildings is a recreation of The Grand Palace.  A floating market with waterside restaurants is also in this area.

The Northern Region is distinctive with its Lanna architectural style and reproductions of buildings of the Sukhothai period.

There is a strong Khmer influence in the Northeastern Region particularly the Phimai Sanctuary and a man-made hill representing Khao Phra Wihan on the Thai- Cambodian border.

The Eastern Region is the smallest as it encompasses less provinces. Noteable structures are The Ancient Theatrical Pavilion and The Red Block Fort.
